This strike has caused many people to have to pay more money to find some other way of getting to where they need to go. My friend had to spend $18 on an Amtrak home so that she could get her car so she would have some way of getting to school from her house in Fishtown. Now she has to pay for gas and parking, an expense that she would normally not have to pay. Many of us are also wasting money by not using our SEPTA passes that we would normally use daily on the bus or the subway. The unfortunate accident that happened this morning is also effecting a lot of people. My one professor canceled class for the second time this week because he was stranded at the station. Hopefully the strike will end soon so everyone can go back to their normal lives.
